Knowing others is wisdom. Knowing yourself is enlightenment. – Lao Tzu

The second training is finding your own genuine identity.
Here in “Buddhist diagnostics” we hold the eyes of Buddha and see the opponent and build a balanced relationship. There for the relationship will flourish the teaching of life, finding your true identity, and happiness.

Japan is the birth place of interweaving care and hospitality as an art.
For example, Sa-do(tea ceremony), Ka-do(known as Ikebana/flower arrangement), Kenson, Sonkei, Teinei-go(languages that are used not to put oneself under others, but to give and present a selfless gesture of kindness in words) is a beauty and heritage of Japanese culture. Hospitality, how to carry oneself for others, and treating others has formed into an art and language.
Sensing people’s needs comes first, then finding oneself’s position becomes secondary.  Reading the air/having empathy for others may require as a manner in this culture.
What may got lost and got behind in this unique and beautiful culture?

Empath Psychological Profile

Empaths are people who have hyper sensitivity to their environment and people in their network.
“Being an empath is when you are affected by other people’s energies, and have an innate ability to intuitively feel and perceive others.  Your life is unconsciously influenced by others’ desires, wishes, thoughts, and moods.  Being an empath is much more than being highly sensitive and it’s not just limited to emotions.  Empaths can perceive physical sensitivities and spiritual urges, as well as just knowing the motivations and intentions of other people.  You either are an empath or you aren’t.  It’s not a trait that is learned.  You are always open, so to speak, to process other people’s feelings and energy, which means that you really feel, and in many cases take on the emotions of others.  Many empaths experience things like chronic fatigue, environmental sensitivities, or unexplained aches and pains daily.  These are all things that are more likely to be contributed to outside influences and not so much yourself at all.  Essentially you are walking around in this world with all of the accumulated karma, emotions, and energy from others.”
One of the characteristics are that they know so much of others, but when they are given choices or asked for their own true opinion such as what their heart truly speeks they feel lost. Empaths may use up their energy to the bottom for others and nothing left not only for themselves but also for their love ones.

Kannon Flying Needle 2

We practice the beautiful form of Baguazan “Quan Yin Flying Needle” to integrate our learning and break down our experiences to the level of our physical body and cells. The energy of Quan Yin riding the Dragon (symbol of powerful life force) gracefully brings forth a sacred mind and firm grounding, and leads us clearly to the right direction.

The forms look a bit difficult at first, but don’t worry. Sifu Chris Matsuo will take his time to teach each of us carefully. (Click on the link to see the video.) Even if you just practice only part of the forms, with persistence, you will realize that this contains all the secrets of the universe.
